The Run for the Roses 5K celebrated 30 wonderful years in Roselle! Thank you to everyone who participated in the past. 


*The difficult decision was made to end the 5K and cancel the 2026 race, which was originally scheduled for June 7, 2026.* 


All those who already registered will receive a full refund.


The certified 5k course was USATF measured and approved (Course Certification number is IL11120JW). The race took place at Lake Park High School West Campus, with a kids race to follow. It was a local favorite, and we are so grateful to all the attendees and volunteers who helped bring it to fruition!

In addition to being a fun race, please know that all proceeds after expenses went to the Boys & Girls Club of North Central Illinois (formerly known as the Boys & Girls Club of Elgin). They have expanded to now include: Elgin, Hanover Park, Schaumburg, South Elgin, and Streamwood! They believe that every child deserves a place to feel safe and connected - but most importantly, a place to belong.
